Charlotte partner Travis Bustamante will present a CLE webinar on Jan. 24 titled, “Reducing Discovery on Discovery: Clarifying the Duty of Cooperation; Distinguishing Fact from Speculation.”
Bustamante, alongside co-presenter Scott Etish from Gibbons P.C., will examine discovery issues, including the impact that transparency and cooperation can have on discovery, recent judicial decisions that discuss discovery on discovery, and strategies to avoid discovery on discovery. Additionally, the discussion will analyze the specific requirements that exist for litigants in discovery and the potentially offensive use of discovery on discovery under the Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 37(e) or other state equivalents.
Bustamante focuses his litigation practice at Nelson Mullins on electronic discovery, data breach response efforts, and helping companies respond to government investigations and inquiries.
