Travis Bustamante to Moderate 12th Annual Electronic Discovery Institute (EDI) Leadership Summit Discussion

Charlotte partner Travis Bustamante will moderate a panel discussion at the 12th Annual Electronic Discovery Institute (EDI) Leadership Summit from Oct. 12-14. Participants at the Summit will meet at the Eden Roc Resort Hotel in Miami, Florida where they can expect a friendly, open discussion with others to further their e-discovery knowledge.

Bustamante’s panel will discuss “Assessing Burden in an Ever-Changing E-Discovery Landscape,” and other panelists will include: Eli Lilly's Associate Director of E-Discovery Michael Bigham, Boston Scientific's Sr. E-Discovery Manager and Litigation Support Mark Burns, Duke Energy's Associate General Counsel and Head of E-Discovery Natalie Carter, and Elevance Health's Sr. VP and Counsel Pam Williams, and Fidelity Investments' VP Samantha Miller. The group will explore both sides of burden arguments following the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in 2015. Attendees will also learn more about recent case law examining discovery burdens and practical ways that in-house legal departments can track metrics to support burden arguments.

At Nelson Mullins, Bustamante’s litigation practice focuses on electronic discovery, data breach response efforts, and helping companies respond to government investigations and inquiries.
