COLUMBIA, S.C. – Encompass members in the Columbia office recently joined together to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) “Light the Night.” This annual walk takes place at the South Carolina State House where participants enjoy music, food, testimonials, and raise money while supporting a meaningful cause. Firm partners Julie Flaming and Cory Manning led the group from Nelson Mullins.
This year, Nelson Mullins and Cory Manning were among the top fundraisers and earned recognition during the evening’s festivities. In total, Columbia-area donors raised more than $230,000 to support LLS’ continuous research into blood cancers and finding new cures.
LLS is on the front lines of the battle against blood cancers. Investing more than $1.6 billion in research, LLS saves lives thanks to their donations towards cutting-edge research. Since 1993, “Light the Night” has led tremendous efforts towards this research and aims to “bring light to the darkness of cancer."
