The Legal 500 U.S. Guide
COLUMBIA, S.C. – In the rankings recently published by The Legal 500 in their U.S. Guide, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s electronic discovery and information management division, Encompass, earned “Tier 1” recognition. Additionally, several attorneys in this practice area received recognition.
Encompass leader and Columbia partner John Martin has been recognized by the publication as a leading lawyer in the national dispute resolution e-discovery division. Additional Encompass members were honored in this division by The Legal 500 including Columbia partners Heyward Bonyata, Lucile Cohen, Julie Flaming, Jarrett Coco, and Charlotte partner Travis Bustamante.
The publication goes on to include several testimonial quotes praising the Encompass team’s “invaluable” work and highlights each attorney’s practice.
As noted by the publication, “John Martin, who has a background of high-stakes litigation, and a strong record of multi-district disputes and government investigations, leads the team, which is primarily based in Columbia, South Carolina. Core team members include Heyward Bonyata, who acts as discovery counsel for clients in multiple litigation proceedings, and Lucie Cohen who has experience acting for clients facing interrelated litigation and government inquiries. Julie Flaming is key for pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, product liability, and business litigation. Jarrett Coco, who is particularly active in the health insurance space, and the Charlotte, North Carolina-based Travis Bustamante are prominent names at the more junior level.”
Selections for the publication are based on Legal 500’s research into the legal market, including interviews with law firm commercial clients and attorney peers, according to the organization. The UK-based reference guide has been published annually for more than 25 years. Learn more about their full methodology.
