For the fifth year in a row, Nelson Mullins Encompass packaged shoes for Innersole, University of South Carolina Women’s Basketball Coach Dawn Staley’s nonprofit organization, on Aug. 23. The service project was held at the Columbia document review center. These shoes were later distributed to schools, agencies, and shelters across the South Carolina Midlands. Three hundred and thirty-six pairs of shoes were sorted, bagged, labeled, and packaged for their recipients.
Led by Angela O’Neal, a contract attorney and team lead for Encompass, who also serves as director of operations for Innersole, 14 Encompass team members packaged brand-name athletic shoes for needy children going back to school.

Innersole is a movement that seeks to change the negative impact of poverty on children. Its goal is to provide new sneakers to children who are homeless and children who are in need.
