This holiday season, Nelson Mullins made it a priority to give veterans the Thanksgiving they deserve. Led by Encompass partner Julie Flaming, Columbia partner Courtney Walsh, and the marketing team, the Columbia office collected over 300 pounds of food that was donated to the Columbia Veterans Administration Health Care System (CVAHCS). Combined with donations from local churches, non-profits, individuals, businesses, and veteran service organizations, a total of 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food went toward Thanksgiving meals for 140 South Carolina veterans facing food uncertainty.
This Thanksgiving, it was CVAHCS’s mission to give back to veterans in need of a holiday meal. The organization is now looking forward to receiving donations for Christmas as it begins preparing 400 boxes to supply local Veterans in need of essentials.
