Partner Julie Flaming participated on a panel to discuss "Avoiding the Battle of the Bronx: Managing an Adversary's Efforts to Increase Costs" during The Electronic Discovery Institute's Summer Meeting in New York. Joining her on the panel were Kimberly Harlowe, senior manager, Litigation Technology Support, Altria Client Services; Julie Heller, vice president, global head of e-discovery Programs, AIG; and Jack Thompson, senior manager, e-discovery & Legal Operations, Sanofi. A member of the Nelson Mullins Encompass Leadership Team, Flaming has more than 10 years of experience in handling all aspects of case assessment and development in complex product liability and business litigation matters and inquiries from government regulators, with a substantive knowledge of issues related to electronic discovery as well as document collection, review, and production. According to the organization, the Electronic Discovery Institute, founded in 2006, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education, leadership, service, advocacy, and research at the intersection of law and technology. Membership includes corporate counsel, private practitioners, judges, professors of law and science, consultants, technologists, and experts.
