Leader of the Encompass practice group and Columbia partner John Martin has been named one of the winners in the Legal Innovators category at the 2023 Southeastern Legal Awards by ALM Media’s The Daily Report.

Martin is a leader of the Nelson Mullins Electronic Discovery and Information Management practice group, Nelson Mullins Encompass. John's clients routinely face the challenge of having to collect and produce massive volumes of highly sensitive information in response to litigation, government investigations, and other matters. Clients turn to Martin and the Nelson Mullins Encompass team to manage the scope of these obligations, identify and mitigate risks, minimize business disruption, and to implement creative solutions to challenging and often disruptive discovery burdens.

Awards in the Legal Innovators category go to individuals who are recognized for their “game-changing” ideas that have been made into a reality. These awardees have positively influenced their practices and those involved with their practice. This category is typically focused on technology-based innovations.

In June, honorees will be highlighted in a special publication by The Daily Report before they are further recognized during a gala at Flourish Atlanta on June 22. Winners of the Attorney of the Year and Law Firm of the Year will also be revealed at the event.
