Nelson Mullins attorney Christie Dee was named Volunteer of the Year by the Charlotte Triage Task Force and the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center (PBRC) for her work with the Driver’s License Restoration Project. Dee received the recognition during Charlotte Triage’s Annual Pro Bono Partnership Event on Sept. 17.

The pro bono initiative helps North Carolinians regain suspended driver’s licenses by addressing unpaid traffic court fines and fees, which can create significant barriers to employment, transportation, and financial stability.

“Your work on Driver’s License Restoration has been exceptional, and I am so thankful for your willingness to take on the challenging cases and counties,” said Meghan Martie, Director of the Driver’s License Restoration Project at PBRC. “Thank you so much for your commitment and service to these clients.”
