Legalweek 2026

Charlotte partner Travis Bustamante and Columbia partner Jarrett Coco will present at Legalweek in New York from March 9-12. Both Bustamante and Coco are members of Nelson Mullins’ nationally recognized electronic discovery division, Encompass.

Alongside his co-panelists, Heena Bhambhlani with Ernst and Young, Jasmine Karimi formerly with FMC Corporation, and Robin Snasdell with Morae Global, Bustamante will present, “Ready for the Front Line: Aligning Policies, Procedures & Tech with Enterprise Risk Management.” As risks evolve faster than traditional compliance frameworks, legal and risk leaders must ensure policies translate into effective, real-world action. This session explores how to align governance, workflows, and technology with enterprise risk priorities, equipping teams to act decisively while measuring and strengthening the connection between daily procedures and overall risk tolerance.

With this, Coco will present, “Modern Legal Workflows, Real Results: Consolidate Tools, Cut Manual Work, and Improve Consistency,” with his co-panelist, Maninder Sagoo with Box, Inc. Law firms and legal teams are expected to move faster and surface risks earlier without adding new tools or complexity, yet many underuse the enterprise platforms they already have. This session explores how to unlock more value from existing systems through structured data, workflow automation, and AI (using Outside Counsel Guidelines as a case study) to standardize processes, simplify compliance, reduce manual work, and drive more consistent, efficient legal operations.

Bustamante’s litigation practice focuses on electronic discovery, data breach response efforts, and helping companies respond to government investigations and inquiries. He works with clients in state and federal courts on issues of discovery strategy and provides counsel regarding information governance, fact investigations, document review strategies, discovery motions practice, and document productions.

Coco’s practice focuses on leveraging advanced legal technologies to deliver strategic solutions in e-discovery, litigation readiness, and information governance. He advises clients on complex discovery challenges, including the integration of innovative tools into discovery workflows, defensible data collection from both traditional and non-traditional data sources, negotiating nuanced protective orders and ESI protocols, challenging overbroad discovery requests, and defending motions to compel.

Known as the, “leading conference for the legal technology industry," Legalweek is a multi-day conference brings together 6,000 industry leaders to explore emerging trends, showcase innovative solutions, and navigate the transformative changes shaping the legal field. Attendees gain forward-looking insights, meaningful connections, and practical strategies to evolve their practice and perspective.
