Encompass and its Attorneys Recognized in Chambers 2023 USA Guide

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s electronic discovery and information management division, Encompass, and its attorneys were recently recognized in the Chambers and Partners 2023 USA Guide.

The firm’s e-discovery and information governance practice was recognized as a whole at the nationwide level in the 2023 guide. Additionally, attorneys that are members of Encompass were individually recognized on the national level. Encompass leader and Columbia partner John Martin was recognized for his work in e-discovery and information governance alongside Columbia partner Lucile Cohen and Charlotte partner Travis Bustamante.

Martin is a litigation partner whose practice focuses on the interplay of high-stakes litigation, electronic discovery, information management, and cybersecurity. Clients turn to Martin and the Nelson Mullins Encompass team to manage the scope of highly sensitive information in response to litigation, government investigations, and other matters.

Cohen serves as discovery counsel to clients in complex litigation matters and government investigations, developing discovery response strategies, negotiating ESI protocols and other discovery orders, and advocating on behalf of clients regarding scope of discovery, burden issues, and culling and search methodologies.

Bustamante, recognized by Chambers as an “up and comer,” focuses his litigation practice focuses on electronic discovery, data breach response efforts, and helping companies respond to government investigations and inquiries. He works with clients in state and federal courts on issues of discovery strategy and provides counsel regarding information governance, fact investigations, document review strategies, discovery motions practice, and document productions.
